PLC Northern Maine Log A Load Golf Tournament Sets New Record!
The PLC would like to thank all our Members who sponsored, donated and/or participated in last Friday’s Log A Load for Maine Kids Golf Tournament. With your help, we set a new record, raising $72,767 for Northern Light Eastern Maine Health System’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Eastern Maine Medical Center!
We could not have achieved this amazing result without you, and if you were unable to be there on Friday, there is still time to DONATE HERE.
With the new records set at our Annual Meeting and the recent southern Maine golf tournament in Lovell, we are well on our way to making 2022 the best year yet for Log A Load for Kids. WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has removed ELDorado ELD from the list of registered Electronic Logging Devices (ELD). FMCSA has placed ELDorado ELD on the Revoked Devices list due to the company’s failure to meet the minimum requirements established in 49 CFR part 395, subpart B, appendix A, effective September 7, 2022.

Pixelle Specialty Solutions LLC announced its plans to close its mill in Jay on Tuesday.

Pixelle Specialty Solutions LLC said its mill in Jay will close in the first quarter of 2023.
FSC connects with stakeholders in Maine
During the week of September 12th, FSC US board members and staff gathered in Portland, Maine for a reception with stakeholders, forest tour with Seven Islands Land Company, and board meeting. Organized in partnership with board member Ted Wright, Executive Director of the Trust to Conserve Northeast Forestlands, the gathering was designed to better understand forests, forestry and forest industry in Maine.

Senators Collins, Baldwin introduce bipartisan resolution recognizing National Loggers Day
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) joined Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) in introducing a bipartisan resolution recognizing October 12th, 2022 as National Loggers Day. The Senate resolution highlights the many contributions and economic benefits of the logging industry in the United States.
